Perancangan Aquatic Sport Center dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Organik di Kota Mamuju

ABSTRAK
Kota Mamuju, yang terletak di pesisir barat Pulau Sulawesi, memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan olahraga air dan rekreasi. Namun, kota ini belum memiliki fasilitas olahraga air yang memenuhi standar internasional sekaligus mendukung keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sebuah Aquatic Sport Center dengan pendekatan arsitektur organik yang mengintegrasikan harmoni dengan alam, efisiensi energi, dan tata ruang multifungsi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan olahraga, rekreasi, dan edukasi masyarakat. Metode penelitian melibatkan pendekatan berbasis studi literatur dan desain eksploratif, dimulai dengan analisis prinsip arsitektur organik. Proses perancangan mencakup sketsa manual, pembuatan model digital, serta simulasi efisiensi energi dan dampak lingkungan. Integrasi elemen desain dilakukan untuk memastikan keselarasan bangunan dengan lanskap lokal dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Aquatic Sport Center yang dirancang mengadopsi prinsip arsitektur organik, seperti penggunaan material lokal, pencahayaan alami, ventilasi silang, dan sistem pengelolaan air hujan. Desain ini tidak hanya mendukung efisiensi energi tetapi juga menciptakan fasilitas multifungsi yang relevan secara sosial, ekologis, dan budaya. Dengan tata ruang yang fleksibel, fasilitas ini dapat melayani kebutuhan olahraga kompetitif maupun rekreasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada literatur arsitektur keberlanjutan dengan menawarkan panduan praktis untuk fasilitas olahraga berbasis arsitektur organik. Temuan ini juga memiliki implikasi luas untuk pengembangan fasilitas serupa di wilayah pesisir lainnya. Studi lanjutan dapat mengeksplorasi integrasi teknologi hemat energi modern dan kajian ekonomi penerapan desain ini.
ABSTRACT
Mamuju City, located on the western coast of Sulawesi Island, holds significant potential for the development of water sports and recreation. However, the city lacks aquatic sports facilities that meet international standards while supporting sustainability. This study aims to design an Aquatic Sport Center using an organic architectural approach that integrates harmony with nature, energy efficiency, and multifunctional spatial planning to meet the needs of sports, recreation, and education for the community. The research methodology involved a literature-based exploratory approach and design exploration, beginning with an analysis of the principles of organic architecture. The design process included manual sketching, creating digital models, and simulating energy efficiency and environmental impact. Design elements were integrated to ensure alignment between the building and the local landscape while promoting environmental sustainability. The results indicate that the proposed Aquatic Sport Center adopts organic architectural principles, such as the use of local materials, natural lighting, cross ventilation, and a rainwater management system. The design not only supports energy efficiency but also creates a multifunctional facility that is socially, ecologically, and culturally relevant. With flexible spatial layouts, the facility caters to both competitive sports and community recreation needs. This study contributes to the sustainable architecture literature by offering practical guidelines for sports facilities based on organic architecture. The findings also have broader implications for developing similar facilities in other coastal areas. Future research could explore the integration of advanced energy-saving technologies and economic feasibility studies of implementing this design.
