ABSTRAK
Kabupaten Siau Tagulandang Biaro (Sitaro) merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang terletak di sebelah utara Pulau Sulawesi. Luas wilayah dari kabupaten ini adalah 275,96 km2. Karakteristik fisik dari kabupaten ini adalah kepulauan dengan topografi wilayah yang cukup curam sehingga ketersediaan lahan yang dimanfaatkan sebagai kawasan permukiman sangatlah terbatas. Salah satu yang menjadi fokus dari penelitian ini adalah permukiman di Makalehi yang berada di Kawasan Pesisir Kecamatan Siau Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasikan kondisi tipologi kawasan permukiman Makalehi dan menganalisis tingkat kekumuhan di permukiman makalehi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskritif kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan spasial. Analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan spasial. Hasil dari penelitian ini meliputi tipologi permukiman Makalehi bersifat gabungan dari pola linier dan pola cluster serta hasil analisis tingkat kekumuhan permukiman Makalehi adalah Kumuh Ringan dengan akumulasi skor penilaian adalah 32.
ABSTRACT
Siau Tagulandang Biaro (Sitaro) Regency is one of the regencies located in the north of Sulawesi Island. The district covers an area of 275.96 km2. The physical characteristics of the regency are islands with a steep topography, which means that the availability of land that can be utilised as residential areas is limited. One of the focuses of this research is the Makalehi settlement in the Coastal Area of West Siau Sub-district. The purpose of this research is to identify the typological condition of Makalehi settlement area and analyse the level of slum in Makalehi settlement. The type of research used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive research with a spatial approach. The analysis used is descriptive and spatial. The results of this study include the typology of Makalehi settlements is a combination of linear patterns and cluster patterns and the results of the analysis of the level of squalor of Makalehi settlements are Light Slum with an accumulated assessment score of 32.
